Do you need to teach grammar to your students but don't know where to start? Or perhaps you don't feel confident enough in your own grammar knowledge, and are looking for a little more support than just a set of rules? Or maybe you are looking for guidance on how to make your grammar-teaching both fun and effective?
If so, this workshop is for you!
Teaching Basic Sentence Structure (Part 1) is the first workshop in the five-part Teach Me Grammar Program which steps language and literacy teachers through all the basic grammar concepts needed to produce simple and compound sentences, and then starts to look at some complex sentences.
The program assumes no prior knowledge of grammar, building each concept from the ground up.
At the same time, it shows you student-centred ways to teach these same concepts to your learners so that they can use them to improve their own reading and writing skills.
This first part covers the basic concepts of nouns, pronouns and verbs and dispels some very unhelpful myths about them. Then we look at how these combine into the three basic sentence patterns most commonly used in English. In the process, you will learn what really makes a sentence a sentence.
And I will be there to personally answer any of your questions along the way!
If you then wish to take your learning journey further, you can. Over the coming months, Parts 2-5 of the Teach Me Grammar Program will become available for you and your learners to continue to build on your understanding.
So, are you ready to get started? If so, just click on the blue button below and follow the instructions.
